Posted on 23rd July 2018
The South West’s most celebrated wedding event, Bride: The Wedding Show is returning to Westpoint Exeter on October 13 and 14, for a highly inspirational weekend of wedding planning.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s on offer…
Geared towards planning your wedding the local way, Bride: The Wedding Show at Westpoint Arena in Exeter will welcome a host of South West suppliers from October 13-14. The biannual show, which also takes place in the spring, will be a hive of activity from start to finish with bridal boutiques, florists, venues, photographers, cake makers, stationers and transport providers all in attendance.
There will be a jam-packed itinerary of entertainment including muscial performances from a hand-picked selection of local wedding acts on the cafe stage and the awe-inspiring catwalk show – running at three times daily (11.30am, 1.15pm and 3pm).
And that’s not all. Show-exclusive deals, discounts and offers await as well as a plethora of competitions to enter and complimentary copies of South West Bride magazine to take home.
Don’t miss out; here’s a preview of just some of the exhibitors you can expect to meet at the event…
Emma Vincent Photography, stand number 647
Emma Vincent Photography is run by husband and wife lifestyle photography team, Emma and Mike Vincent, who are new to the weddings industry and currently enjoying their second wedding season. Emma says: “We love to meet people. We don’t think you can capture the story of a couple’s day without understanding how they work and what they want their day to be about.”
Commenting on one of her favourite celebratory shots, Emma says: “This crowd surfing finale to Mark and Helen’s first dance sums this wedding party up perfectly: wild and free, exactly the weddings we love to photograph. Emma Vincent Photography is here for those non-traditional wild and free souls, capturing the story of your day as it unfolds.”
Jane’s of Torquay and City Dress Exeter, stand number 237
While Jane’s has been running for more than 18 years, sister company City Dress is celebrating its one-year anniversary in October. Find bridesmaids’ dresses and mother of the bride and groom outfits at both stores and discover your dream wedding dress at Jane’s. Proprietor Kara Bridgeman comments: “A visit to our stand is a must. If you want amazing quality, choice and value then you won’t be disappointed. All orders and purchases at the show get 10% off too. We have a sample sale rail of beautiful wedding dresses and shoes at less than cost price, so come and see if you can find the dress of your dreams at a bargain price.”
“Our focus is to deliver great customer service, quality gowns at affordable prices,” continues Kaya. “With the average number of bridemaids now being six, it’s no wonder the budget needs to be around £100. We think the ‘Camilla’ is perfect in on-trend silver to complement any colour scheme. Also available in wine, navy or ivory, sizes 6-24, and at £110, it’s in budget too.”
Divine Flowers, stand number 825
Based in Crediton, Divine Flowers provides a bespoke, personalised service to design and create your dream wedding flowers. With an aim to bring your ideas to life while making the whole process of ordering wedding flowers stress-free and enjoyable, the team at Divine Flowers promise to enchant you with their arrangements.
Commenting on the floral trends for autumn/winter 2018, manager Mary Bolton says: “One of our favourite wedding flower trends for A/W 2018 is alternative buttonholes and corsages for the wedding party. Think outside the box and choose dahlias instead of roses with delicate touches of wispy or textured foliage and stems wrapped in luxuriant ribbon or rustic brown twine.”
Deer Park Country House Hotel, stand number 515
For an unforgettable backdrop to your wedding day, Deer Park Country House Hotel is an 18th century Georgian mansion exuding character and charm. Licensed for civil ceremonies and accommodating up to 60 guests in the main house and 180 in the Orangery, Deer Park Country House Hotel offers a setting for all sizes of wedding.
Kate Wilkinson, wedding co-ordinator at Deer Park Country House Hotel, says: “From the styling of the space to the timings on the day, the majority of your decisions will ultimately hinge on your choice of wedding venue. Here at the Deer Park, we specialise in fun, original, made-to-measure weddings. With more than 80 acres of spiffing grounds, featuring wild flower meadows, woodland walks, manicured lawns and riverside trails, it’s no surprise that the Deer Park is considered to be one of the most romantic wedding venues in Devon.”
