Bride: The Wedding Show at Norfolk Showground 2017 is resounding success
Posted on 20th February 2017
Delivering an unforgettable weekend of wedding planning, Bride: The Wedding Show – in association with the Eastern Daily Press and sponsored by Pure Brides and Grooms – returned to Norfolk Showground for its eighth year on February 18-19, 2017.
From the sensational catwalk show and energetic entertainment performances, to the much-anticipated Golden Ticket Giveaway and a pop-up shop from show sponsor, Pure Brides and Grooms, Bride: The Wedding Show at Norfolk Showground was a hive of activity from start to finish.
Featuring more than 150 local businesses, the show provided inspiration and ideas to help couples plan their big day. Photographers, venues, stationers, florists, bridal boutiques, cakemakers, transport providers, menswear suppliers and more turned out in force to showcase their products and services. Among them was a host of winners from the 2017 EDP Bride: The Wedding Awards, all eager to meet couples and offer their expert advice.
Kevin Kitteridge and Diane Harper of Silverline Limousines – EDP Bride: Best Wedding Transport Provider 2017, said: “Thank you to the Archant Bride team for putting on a magnificent two-day wedding show at the Norfolk Showground. The crème de le crème of wedding suppliers in the region showcased and their stands looked fantastic. The couples planning their weddings were indeed spoilt and I am sure, were impressed. For team Silverline, it was a fantastic couple of days.”
The event even honoured some of the best looking stands with trophies for the four winners: Samantha Powell Flowers, RLA Wedding Designs My Fleur and La Belle Angéle.
Brides-to-be looking to find and try on the dress of their dreams were in luck, as Pure Brides and Grooms hosted a pop-up shop – allowing the leading ladies to change into dresses from the boutique’s 2017 collections.
Owner of Pure Brides and Grooms, Anna Hare, said: “What a great show again this year; we loved every second and so did all our lovely brides who tried on and fell in love with their dream dress in our ‘Pure on Tour’ pop-up shop.”
Preceded by short musical sets from wedding singer Lee Vann, the choreographed catwalk show proved a hit with all audiences, presenting bridal gowns, menswear, bridesmaids’ dresses and occasionwear to an arrangement of chart-topping music and high octane dance routines. Designs from Pure Brides and Grooms, La Belle Angéle, Boutique of Dreams, Jarrold and Slaters took to the stage in various scenes, delighting all members of the wedding party.
Visitors also enjoyed show-exclusive deals, complimentary copies of Norfolk & Suffolk Bride magazine, and opportunities to win amazing prizes in the Golden Ticket Giveaway.
The stylish champagne bar – hosted by The Banqueting Hire Service, and café area – provided by Brasted’s, both offered seating areas for show-goers to rest their feet and refresh with food and drink.
Bride-to-be Leanne Crow, from Wyndham, who visited with her sister and fellow bride-to-be, Sophie, said: “It’s been brilliant. The men on the catwalk were really good. We don’t spend much time with each other so we thought we’d come to the wedding show together for a day out. We liked Special Delivery Accessories. I got my wedding rings from Alba Rose and my sister was given a quote for her wedding rings which was £800 cheaper than what she had budgeted.”
Thrilled with the success of the show, Diana Sims, sales director for Archant Bride, said: “What a fantastic weekend. I would like to thank all the exhibitors and visitors for their support. I would also like to say thank you to our amazing team that helped run the show – from the staff on front desk and on the Archant Bride stand, to those in the catwalk area and our security.”
Bride: The Wedding Show will be back at Norfolk Showground from February 17-18 2018.
